As the change management and communication portfolio owner for the Program Management Office within the US Citizenship and Immigration Services Field Operations Directorate, Brett oversees the application of change management and communication principles and tools to directorate projects and initiatives.  Brett also serves as a subject matter expert on the use of cutting edge technology to enhance internal communication and employee engagement.    

Brett began his career as a public school teacher and has served in the federal government for over 16 years.  His years as a teacher greatly influenced his enthusiasm for effective, efficient, and creative communication, which he has applied across a range of federal positions in the Department of Defense and US Citizenship and Immigration Services.  Brett earned a Master’s degree in Music Education from the VanderCook College of Music, a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Berry College, and recently a certificate in Business Intelligence from Villanova University.  Brett remains active as a professional singer and instrumentalist in the Central Florida area.
