Denise Roberts McKee is the Chief Story Strategist at Electric Campfire StorySessions.  She specializes in helping organizations find their unique and iconic stories, and then craft those stories into compelling, engaging content.  She is also a founding member of September Club, a documentary creative shop whose projects include JIM & ANDY (VICE/Netflix) and ZEDD: TRUE COLORS (Geffen/Innerscope).  The Online Marketing Institute named Denise as one of their Top 40 Digital Strategists in Marketing. Her recent book “The Electric Campfire: A Marketer’s Guide to Documentary Storytelling” provides an in-depth look at documentary storytelling strategies for content development and marketing.


Denise is a partner in About Face Media, where she developed and produced brand documentaries for Fortune 500 clients such as JP Morgan, FedEx and Disney.  Prior to joining About Face, Denise cofounded the companies LimeLife, Inc., a publisher of mobile media for women, and Stunt Puppy Entertainment, an independent developer of games focused on the children’s market.  As vice president of LimeLife, she worked with leading brands such as Time-Warner, NBC Universal, Bravo TV New Media, and Rachael Ray, for launches across all major North American carriers.  With Stunt Puppy Entertainment, she served as COO as the company developed four Number 1 ranking titles for Mattel and oversaw all production, financials and new business development, focusing on licensor driven content for such entities as Disney/Buena Vista Games, Atari/Infogrames and Leapfrog Toys.


Denise currently serves as Board Chairman for the Real Racine Convention and Visitors Bureau.  She served as Executive Director for the Racine Arts Council from 2010 to 2017, and as a current Board Member coordinates the Monument Square Art Festival and RAC ArtSeed Grants Program.  She is a member of the Animation Advisory Committee for Milwaukee Area Technical College, the Wisconsin Arts Board’s Creative Industries Committee and serves on the Board of Directors for The DeKoven Foundation.
